Basic reading passages, mostly stories and some informative

Core Learning:
  • Understanding start and end of a sentence.
  • Comprehending the question and locating suitable answers.
  • Significant impact on the child’s reading skills, coordination of hand motor skills.
  • Affects pace of writing.
  • Also involves framing answers as per questions.
  • Exposes the child to various questions.

        - Choose  the  correct  word  from  the  bracket.

The most fundamental elements which are crucial for sentence formation.

  • Singular or Plural
  • Helper Verb Usage (am/is/are, was/were, has/have, this/that, these/those)
  • Nouns [ proper nouns and common nouns]
  • Verbs [doing words]
  • Adjectives [describing words]
  • Pronouns [personal]
  • Prepositions
  • Punctuations
  • Conjunctions

Understanding of Grammar in sentences:
        - Mother took sam to the park.
        - Mother took Sam to the park.


[ Understanding usage of Proper noun as a part of punctuations].

Use of Adjectives:
        - Mary watches cartoons.
        - Mary watches funny cartoons.


The concept of applying Adjectives to speaking and writing sentences is taught along with the topic.

  • Similes - Basic learning of similes followed by application:
        - The tree is as tall as a giraffe.
        - The bag is as light as a feather.
        - Mother is as pretty as a princess.
        - Father is as busy as a bee.
        - The park was big.


Simile: The park was as big as an airport.
Simile & Vocabulary: The park was as huge as an airport.
